Hannah--WEEK TWO! Districto Perro

 Hola Hola!

I hope you all have had a great day so far! I have officially finished 2 weeks of home MTC, and I had some cool experiences this week so we'll jump right in!

This week felt super long but fast at the same time! It's true when they say the days are long but the weeks are short! It feels like I started the MTC yesterday! Hard to believe that was two weeks ago! Muy loco! It has been fun to have just my dad at home with Elder Blatter and I since the rest of my family is in Lake Tahoe! He's the best MTC Presidente, and Chef! :) Thank you for the many dilla dillas (quesadillas)!

Now the reason for my subject line, my district decided to prank our teacher this week and have our pets/little brothers/plants stand in place of us! There's a pic below, it was pretty awesome!

Also, found out this week that my companion, hermana platt, will start crying if you can get her to laugh super hard. I must be suuuuper funny because I make her cry all the time ;)

In class this week, we watched a video of this woman who was feeling far from God and from herself and she didn't know how to reach out and get help. We were assigned to find a verse in the Book of Mormon that would help her. We were then put into breakout rooms of two to share our scripture and how we would teach this woman. I began to read in Mosiah 27, which is about Alma the Younger and his journey to come back to God. As I shared Mosiah 27:28-29 with this hermana in my district, I immediately broke down into tears! It had totally came out of nowhere and it was such an amazing experience being able to feel the Spirit that strongly while sharing the scriptures. What I thought was even crazier was how strong the spirit was even though we were meeting virtually! The Spirit really does enter into our hearts!

28 Nevertheless, after awading through much btribulation, repenting nigh unto death, the Lord in mercy hath seen fit to snatch me out of an ceverlasting burning, and I am born of God.

29 My soul hath been aredeemed from the gall of bitterness and bbonds of iniquity. I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was cracked with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is dpained no more.

After class that day, the hermana messaged me and said, "Thank you again for your testimony today.  I was feeling sad yesterday because I feel like I'm learning a lot from online MTC but maybe missing out on as many spiritual experiences I would of had at the real MTC. So I've been praying for more spiritual experiences and you were definitely the answer to my prayer! So thank you!" WOW!! There is no better feeling in the world than being an answer to someone's prayer and an instrument in the Lord's hands!!! I'm so happy I was able to help this dear sister. This experience only reinforced my excitement to be in Washington teaching with the Spirit and being a servant to the Lord!

Well I think that's all for this week! Sorry that it's a bit long! I'm so grateful for the experiences I'm having and the knowledge I'm learning! I hope you all have a great week and remember to serve others any chance you get! The smallest things can make the BIGGEST difference! :)
